Nostalgia
Before we rush into 2010 I just want to share a bit of nostalgia with you guys. Every year around Christmas I visit my aunt and uncle in Hvidovre (suburb to Copenhagen), and we share an extensive version of the Danish Christmas Lunch. I was born in the neighborhood, and somehow their home haven't changed at all in the years I have known them. They live like in the 1970's, and somehow it is comforting to be reminded that some things never change...

Winter Bliss
Wednesday I handed in my final paper at school... After en exhausting month I have been treating myself with walks in the snow, porridge with quinoa and blueberries, hot cocoa as well as sleeping my day away... Tonight I'm going out for dinner to celebrate!

The Nightingale from Nordvest
A year ago I met a funny lady in Nordvest - Copenhagen. She loved to play the harmonica, sing and decorate for Christmas. Her name is Ellen. When I visited her she always gave me a bottled beer (Carlsberg) and talked so loud that the nightingales on the wall made a loud noise. She had many things in her apartment, and she made her bed like on the picture every day. Visiting her was almost like entering a little everyday adventure...

Hoops!
I'm in the mood for hoops! Or maybe a t-shirt coveret with bamboo hoops from Junkprints to bring some glam in to my life. Basta!

Home Alone
Supposed to read, supposed to write. Doing a little of both while eating good food and chocolate. Ginger tea within reach. Soon it's time to go straight to bed. Good night!

Everyday People
I can't get enough of everyday life and everyday people - much more interesting and mind-blowing than reading about and watching famous people all the time. This reminds me that everyone has a story. One in 8 Million - New York Times. The picture shows the teenage mother Elizabeth Cousins and her daughter.

My Winter Read
At the moment I'm more than drawn into James Ellroys universe in the crime novel Black Dahlia from 1987. The novel is based on a true story about the murder of Elizabeth Short in 1947 in Hollywood. A body cut in two, aspiring actress, only wearing black - need I say more? Crime novels is my thing - even though I should be thinking about my exams all the time. I'm thinking about Black Dahlia...
