Birdie Nam Nam

When I was 15 my friend Kajsa and I had fun listening to a CD-box called Disco Dance Classics in her teenage room at Nørrebro. I especially remember one particular song from this collection: Knock on Wood. Unfortunately the collection got stolen at some point.

Earlier this summer i found the record in a local thrift shop in Northern Jutland... I think it's a pretty cool cover. By the way it was her first album from 1979. Fierce lady!

I can't wait to play the record to Kajsa when she comes home from Africa...

I'm trying to slow down these days. Reading books, taking naps, watching light and leaves on the ground. It sounds easy but craves focus. I'm getting good at it. This is the last book I read Renselse by Sofi Oksanen. A historical book about war and suppression of women in Estonia. She describes everything in the smallest detail from flies in the meat to sweat on the skin....

Being at a festival is more than music, beers, friends, sun and food. I captured particles of dust with my flash at Roskilde. This is a picture of my view just before the Robyn concert starts - I'm all by myself surrounded by thousands of others on the dancefloor...
