Boats Upside Down
During Fall Vacation I spent a couple of days in the summer house - Bera. I got so relaxed that I noticed all the fine little boats turned upside down along the shore. Some where new, some where old, some where together and some where alone.

Cake
We had visiters from Berlin this weekend. They brought us tempting cakes in a perfect package from Albrechts Pâttiserie. I'm eating mine while watching a couple of Mad Men episodes.

My Week
Monday I had a lecture and worked on a project for school. The reverse portrait is a part of that... Tuesday the sky was perfect. Wednesday one of my plants grew luminescent pink flowers. Thursday I was hung up trying to create databases at uni. Today I'm throwing a Bingo event with my Analog crew. Have a nice weekend / vacation everyone!

Saturday accompanied by Sophie Calle & Sarah Bernhard
Yesterday I went for a ride up the coast. I saw an exhibition by Sophie Calle at Louisiana called Take Care of Yourself. She got dumped by email and asks around 100 different women to read and analyze the mail. The exhibition consists of her portraits of the women and their analysis. I really admire the way she illustrates her art, and how she works with universally human themes based on her own experiences. Very inspiring. Afterwards I enjoyed a very nice Sarah Bernhard cake. It was a day in great company.

On My Shelf
Today I stumbled upon a photo book I bought a couple of years ago in Paris. 'Strangely Familiar - Acrobates, Athletes and Other Traveling Troupes' by Michal Chelbin. I got captured once again by the serious eyes, strange settings and beautiful colors in the book. It feels like getting a glimpse of a very different and odd world with a familiar feeling in it.
