Wrapping Rules

I must admit that sometimes I get seduced in the supermarket. Yes, when I see some fine wrapping it can be difficult to resist... That's what happened when I bought these vanilla biscuits the other day. I liked the wrapping so much, that I just couldn't leave them on the shelf. They actually taste so good, that I'm now on my second package. I guess that's how an addiction starts.

Today I visited my moms friend who I have known all my life. We had glögg and did some knitting while the fake fireplace was turned on. As long as I can remember she has had this painting on her bedroom wall - a painting my mom did of her 30 years ago.

Bookshelf discoveries

I think it's time to do some bookshelf discoveries soon. It's been a while since I have opened a book or a magazine without feeling a little bit guilty...

Imperfection

Right now I'm reading for an exam in January in a subject that I find extremely difficult. It seems pointless, but sometimes I guess we just have to do something - well just to do it, and then it might make sense some time in the future. In between reading I'm gaining strength for three Christmas Lunches this weekend and spoiling myself with my favorite breakfast. Luckily the girls are coming over tonight to do some knitting.

Big City Dreams

A while ago I spotted a mug in a shop in my area. I really liked it because of it's size, round shape and the prints on it. The prints can both represent the big city or the suburb, and it has a sun on one side and clouds on the other. It is the perfect cup I thought, and left the store. Today I past a thrift shop around the corner, and there in the window it was, standing all alone among other cups, flowerpots and plates in a big mess. I bought the cup for 20 DKK - sometimes patience pays off! Now the mug is my new favorite in my small collection of very different cups. Every time I drink my coffee from it, I will dream about the big city with skyscapers or just the suburb with a shining sun above.

Back to basics

When exam period kicks in it's time to enjoy basic things like food, sleep and the view from the window sill - in between writing of course.
