Interview By Linda

Talented Linda with the blog Simpel Dagbog has me featured in a little interview today. Every Monday she gives room to a blogger she finds interesting. I think it's a good way to get a sneak peak into new blogs - and I'm very happy she wanted me to participate. Thank you Linda! (the interview is in Danish)

I Pretend

I wish today had been filled with nice things like the ones above. Beautiful breakfast, sun through the leaves of my plants and a little knitting. Instead I have been reading a little an napping a lot... I guess you need those days once in a while.

Smoked Trout / Avocado / Rye Bread

If you are not familiar with Irma's røgede ørred salat (smoked sprout salad) yet - you should definately give it a try. After a long walk in Aarhus I decided that was the only thing I wanted for lunch - luckily there is one Irma here that I almost ran into because I was so hungry. I like the salad on toasted rye bread with lot's of avocado, pepper and peppermint tea with it.

Across Country

Last chores completed. Important papers handed in. Emails sent. Work done. Now I will grab my weekend bag and go on a little journey across Denmark. From Copenhagen to Roskilde and to Aarhus and back! Enjoy your Friday evening!

Morning Route

Three days a week I hop on my bike for a 15 minutes bike ride from Vesterbro to Amager, where my university is placed. Even though the trip is short it contains two bridges and a little forest. It gives me a sense of the seasons changing... I'm ready for Spring now.

The DeVilles

Yesterday sv1 showed the documentary The DeVilles directed by Nicole Nielsen Horanyi. Unfortunately I only stumbled upon it by coincidence half way through. But from what I saw it was candy to my eyes and ears. A really interesting story about fading love taking place in an L.A. suburb. I guess it could be anywhere but the setting and the colorful couple brings some magic into the whole story... Have you seen it?

Discovering Stella

Today our Monday became a Sunday. After late breakfast at home we went for a little walk an ended up having a cup of good coffee at the bookshop Thiemers Magasin. Here I found a little magazine called Stella mixing DIY with interesting women and ideas all wrapped in a beautiful layout with inspiring photos. The magazine might be little but to me it's a big discovery - I'm looking forward to the next issue comes out soon.

Luminous Weekend

How can a weekend starting with croissants and sun not be good? Even though I still have a cold and are working at home this weekend - I'm still optimistic. Spring is just around the corner. I smelled it today.

My Corner

If there where a prize for home decoration I would not take home the 1. prize... I love to visit people who live in beautiful homes with a limited amount of stuff lying around everywhere. But in our home things are pretty chaotic at times. Actually I was really proud when I hung up a mirror and made my own little inspiration-corner in the bedroom some time ago. The thought is to change what is lying there and hang some pictures on the wall - that should be manageable... I hope to use the old Yashica on my trips to Berlin and Paris this Spring. I can't wait!

Cold Wind / Sore Throat

My throat is sore after a freezing week on the bike - even the birds where hiding in the trees, when I tried to take a picture of them today. The only solution is a warm blanket and lot's of ginger/honey/lemon tea.

All Work No Play

A new semester is up and running combined with a new job, and it shows on the blog. Focusing on other things has made me a little uninspired, but that doesn't mean I'm not inspired at all. I found these notes on my good friend Laura's fridge the other day - she wrote them down from somewhere, and I think they make pretty good sense. I especially like the two last posts - I could learn from them.
