24 hours in Denmark, and still I feel like I'm settling in after 8 days in Beautiful Paris. The light and the details remains, and I feel so lucky to have been able to suck the energy out of the city again. No computer, phone or TV has been so good...

I'm taking off to Paris today, and in a minute I will go pack the rest of my stuff. Yesterday I washed my white dotted shoes I wore in Paris three years ago when I had just met my boyfriend...

Oh, and Welcome to all of you who stopped by after Mette commented on our talk about words vs. pictures on blogs! No more words from me - I'm back in a week, and I can't wait to show you Paris through my eyes!

This weekend has been all about procrastination which is so obvious on these two photos. Some playing around with Instagram and the coffee table with the computer situated alarmingly close to an open Lula, the library book, the phone and the remote control... Hmmm.

 

I don't go to the library that often, but when I do I always find something interesting. Today I went to pick up a book about qualitative research - but off course I found something else as well. This little book caught my attention because of the cover (surprise...) and I remembered the movie based on it. Perfect for a little Easter recreation I guess. Have you read it?

Finally it's Friday, the sun is shining and I think it's time for coffee. I'm looking forward to Paris like a little child - feeling like I'm sick all the time, because I can't wait. Do you know that feeling?

Yesterday my dad came over, and he brought me this old camera. At first I didn't recognize it, but then I saw little details like the purple buttons on the top display, and I remembered exactly how it felt to press them. It takes med back to 1993 where I was a preteen with big red glasses going on a trip somewhere with my after school club. I think the colorful JumpShot deserves to come along on a trip to Paris next week!

I have been abducted by the sun for at couple of days, and it has been great! Suddenly I feel like drinking Guaraná, remembers what burned skin smells like and have open windows in both rooms AND the kitchen at once. Crazy crazy me...

This Brio Dog is from my childhood and somehow it has ended up in our livingroom, where it gases over the street from the window sill. I think it wants to go for a walk. It has a happy little tail which it wags once in a while. I think it will be the closest thing we will ever get to having a dog, and who knows - maybe someday someone will take it for a walk. I just arrived home after a very exiting meeting which I hope will have a positive outcome. When I woke up this morning I craved apple juice with ginger, and it has saved me throughout the day. Now I'm relieved and happy. Have a nice Thursday afternoon/evening everyone!

To me spring is not real until I've seen a tree with flowers. Yesterday I found one at a graveyard, and then I was sure. Spring is here. Therefore I decided that the only right thing to eat today was fresh spring rolls, and I found recipe in my favorite cookbook at the moment 'Vild med vegetar' by Louisa Lorang. Because I'm not a vegetarian I added chicken in mine, and ate them with hoisin sauce. Even though they didn't look professional - the taste was great and springlike.

When the sun came out yesterday I went for a long walk in the woods near the water. I didn't realize it was that big until I almost got lost. I saw a tiger tree, a swamp and walked over big tree trunks. Between the tree crowns the sun came down through a fog, and I felt like I was exploring new territories.

Today I spend my morning in front of the computer with apple juice, coffee, crispbread and work. My only company has been Conrad the bear staring at me from the armchair in the corner. Once in a while I have been looking out the window to get a glimpse of the sun everyone is talking about. Well it hasn't reached Aarhus yet... but by going out very soon I hope is will.

Yesterday I visited my good friend Line for dinner. She made lovely food as always, and we had a good long needed talk. I used to live in her apartment on and of in a period where I was studying in Århus and Sydney. I love to visit her because it really feels like home. On my way to my new home I noticed a new little shop on the street (Egilsgade on Islands Brygge) called Tiny Bitch. The window display was bright and tempting - it looked just like a place for me - and an excuse to come back soon!
