Today the rain was pouring down from morning til evening. It was not what I had planned when i started on my iced coffee project (inspired by Emily Salomon yesterday. But who says you can't drink iced coffee with a party straw on the couch?

Today all my second hand wandering payd off big time. I found this silk Paul & Joe dress with a beautiful swan print hidden between piles of boring dresses. I was amazed when I found out it was my size and only costed 30 DKR... Actually I also bought a pair of limecoloured shorts, because I almost felt bad about the bargain. As if that's not enough I also got a good grade on my assignment today. A good day should be celebrated!

During summer 70 procent mint chocolate matches my afternoon coffee very well. Normally I go for 85. Summer also makes me dream about crazy travel destinations and alternative ways to travel. A big dream is to travel through United States or Australia in an autocamper.

Today I spotted a really cute little couch in a second hand store. Such a shame I wasn't able to bring it home... Instead I got to lie under a tree and read. Not bad!

The mornings in Northern Jutland are quiet. Today I woke up to this view and birds singing outside. I always have to get used to the slow pace.

Maybe I don't buy all the kitch weird things I'm drawn to, but when it comes to mugs I can't help myself. Today I found 'Totally Minnie' at a flea market. I love the 80's-Madonna-outfits she's wearing. It will be my substitute while I keep looking for the originalt Miss Piggy cup my grandmother had...

What is summer without beautiful oysters in the middle of nowhere in Northern Jutland?

Yesterday at midsummer the sky was amazing. Sun, rainbows and clouds in an odd mix. Apparantly the birds liked it to. Today I passed a shop with cotton yarn in summer colors and was inspired to knit a cardigan for summer. Judging from the last picture it seems like I'm drawn to pink weird not very nessesary things at the moment...

I would buy stuff like this mirror all the time...

I'm trying a new concept where I blog on the go. Right now I'm on the ferry to Aarhus, and because I'm travelling light I didn't bring my computer. I hope the posts will be a little more intuitive during the next few days. And then I can really look forward to be home and safe with Photoshop again ;-). A little tip: waffles in mini size are good on the go...

Today I took a bike ride over the bridge to Islands Brygge where I had dinner with Line and Krille at Line's place. It feels like a second home, because I used to sometimes sleep on the couch when I studied in Aarhus and Australia. I love to sit in Line's kitchen and share long stories while she cooks and we laugh. This time we drank rhubarb juice and rosé and ate jummy food while we planned our summer.

I just wanted to stop by and say 'hello'. Days are slow and I'm enjoying friends, meals and running in my new shoes. Vacation is cool, sometimes I'm bored (my mom always told me that's healthy...) sometimes I'm exited about new challenges ahead - which I will share with you soon. In the meantime enjoy this wonderful collaboration. I love it!

Back in the city after three days and four nights in Bera. Some of the best things was orange tea with coconut and watermelon on the terrace in the morning. I also enjoyed my Hasbeens/H&M clogs which I found on sale (100 DKR) in Aarhus just before takeoff... I never thought I would wear clogs, but I'm getting kind of hooked on Swedish Hasbeens.

After a couple of days in Aarhus we got on the ferry Friday to go to my dads beloved summerhouse Bera Club. I love to stand on the ferry and smell the sea breeze while leaving land. On the other side we where met by a really calm deer standing just outside the house looking curiously at us. What a welcome.

I'm reading a book about death and grief at the moment (Joan Didion's 'The Year of Magical Thinking'). I think the book opens my mind to how everything eventually will come to an end. It's not in a bad or sad way, I guess I'm just noticing the transitory in things more.

My dad gave me two notebooks the other day and we talked about how to have a 'notebook system'. It's difficult if you fall in love with different notebooks all the time and don't know witch to use for what... Do you have a system? Other than that I was out for a big streetparty just outside my window Friday, which resulted in a whole day on the couch yesterday - luckily I had fresh flowers to cheer me up.

This afternoon I was about to get a to-go coffee but decided to go for a bike ride first. I visited 'Loppeshoppen' on Søndre Fasanvej 2, where I haven't been for ages. I'm glad I went because three summer musts was waiting for me: a perfect worn out cotton t-shirt in my favorite color, a scarf with flags and a white mini-bag. It seems like I'm finally getting good at bargaining, because I had all three for 30 DKR. The coffee thereby became a new summer look, and I made my own to-go and took it to a bench outside. After all the humid heat yesterday a wind took over the streets and the rain came in the evening. The light from our bedroom window was threatening and beautiful at the same time. It reminded me of Melancholia...
