More Missing Before Missing
Yesterday I had a good and busy day with more cleaning, running, going to the doctor, delivering in books at the library and buying flight tickets. The afternoon was spend in the couch surrounded by moving boxes with the sweetest Line. We had coffee, cherries (they are so good right now), chocolates and waffles and listened to Amy Winehouse. Line also brought the best ginger bon bon's ever. I'm hooked. After a while we decided to go to Dyrehaven to eat, but on the way it started to rain heavily, and we found shelter on a stone step before we moved on. At Dyrehaven we had Coq au Vin with a bear and green salad - it really felt like an autumn evening. We talked about Line coming to Helsinki to visit me, and that we need to go out more to eat and get a drink.

Miss The Most
Lying under a tree reading (and finally finishing Fear of Flying!), drinking coffee, eating waffles and cherries I found a snapshot photo from a vacation last year tucked away in an old NYLON magazine. It reminded me of what and who I will miss the most, when I'm in less than a month will be on my way to new adventures in Helsinki. I will stay there for four months and study in the Media Lab at Aalto University of Art & Design. It's both exiting and frightening at the same time, and there are so many practical things to be done - like going through all our stuff before renting out the flat. Other things I will miss is my five remaining (still living) plants - big and small, new and old, given and bought, and the golden light coming through the bedroom window at night.

Bera: Details
Last week we had our last days in Bera this year. One of the best things about spending time there is: noticing the details.
Nectarine Cake With Green Tea Syrup
Yesterday I baked a cake with some leftover nectarines, because we had quests coming by for a quick dinner (before they where catching the ferry to Jutland). I found a recipe in my all time favorite cookbook by Louisa Lorang (Vild med vegetar). The green tea syrup was poured over the hot cake, and it gave it an extra touch of something bittersweet.

Chroceting & The Ocean
Today I had some hours alone in Bera (the summer house). They where spend crocheting wrist warmers inspired by Sandra Juto, reading in the feminist classic Fear of Flying, going for a run and watching the ocean. Oh yeah, not to forget a nap on the couch with birds singing through the open terrace door.

TIVOLI
Yesterday I was surprised with a trip to Tivoli. I haven't been there for years, and I must admit that at first I thought 'my god'. But as we got into the mood it turned out to be the funniest day ever. Lot's of people to look at, ice cream and candy everywhere, lights, colors and not to forget scary rides. I tried a few where I honestly thought I was going to die... and then came out all high.

All The Good Things
Yesterday it was my mum's birthday and I made her a survival kit with Iced Coffee extract from Emily Salomon's recipe, two cupcakes from Agnes Cupcakes and some light blue merino wrist warmers I crocheted (and forgot to take a picture of). I also backed a pile of baguettes which was eaten one by one. Today we went to the beach at Amager and dropped by Kaffebaren at Æblestien 2, where the coffee is very good!

Home & Away
Sandy beaches as far as you can see, a little swimming, some reading, lot's of eating and 'hygge' everyday. More than a week away and I am filled with experiences. As much as I love being on the go - it is also nice to get home to the love-cup, a new Frankie and flowers that really needed attention. The big thunderstorm made sure I wasn't going anywhere yesterday evening. I had fun doing posts from my phone on the go, and I will probably do it from time to time - but again, it's also nice to be safe and comfortable in front of the computer ;-)

Hello Granny

From now on I am not allowed to enter any second hand shop in Aarhus. For a while at least. It's not the money that worries me (the stuff i bought has been really cheap) it's more the space... Hmm, today I couldn't leave these Clark's Caribeen sandals and the sand coloured clutch alone. The sandals fit my feet perfectly, and they are really cute in a sort of odd granny-like way. Not going to Roskilde Festival this year maybe has something to do with my craving... I plan on pimpin the clutch with at golden chain around the shoulder. Enjoy your friday everyone!
