Birdie Nam Nam

I forgot to give you a proper introduction to the site Bloggers Choice on Art Rebels where I some time ago shared my three most wanted things from their shop.

Furthermore Birdie Nam Nam was mentioned at Blog-land (sorry it's Danish...). I almost forgot these posts as I only mentioned them shortly, but lately I realized they needed a little more attention. Enjoy your Monday!

...Do The Best You Can. Some days the energy level is low and the days pass without really achieving anything. I have started to really enjoy these days and remember that even a cup of tea with an intelligent quote, a ceramics elephant made by an important person when he was once a little boy or even the sky can change my concerns. It doesn't matter what I do - what matters is that I do the best I can.

Youth has left the building and 2012 is the year where I finally feel like a real adult. I am looking so much forward to (in one weeks time) be able to leave our nomadic lifestyle and finally move back to our apartment. Then I will hang my favorite clock on the wall and drink sleep easy tea with waffles every day. Last but not least finally Mummimamma will get a permanent place next to our own new bed.

A couple of days ago I was looking in/reading a Danish interior magazine and I noticed a picture of a poster on a wall only containing the words: REPLACE FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN WITH CURIOSITY. I liked it so much that I have thought of it ever since. Yesterday my curiosity was focused on little unseen details in staircases, toilets and colours of the sky which was dark, blue and rainy. We even noticed snow on our way home in the car. The beginning of my weekend is filled with bright sun coming through the windows, yummy buns, tea, picture editing and now I am curious about what the rest of it will bring.

During the past couple of years I have both knitted and crocheted wrist warmers. It is something I like to do when the thoughts take over, then working on these makes me relax. This is the last pair, and they where fun to make. Even though the hearts could be more perfect... I like them just the way they are ;-).

Walking instead of biking makes me watch the sky and all the different shades much more. From morning until night the Copenhagen mood can change a great deal. Sometimes I just sit inside a favorite café and read a magazine. Then I wait until the sun is setting and the colours are perfect for another walk.

This winter has been extremely challenging but beautiful at the same time. Sometimes it can be very easy to find out what matters: enjoying quiet mornings together, celebrating a new year coming and watching white swans and plants while being on the go. If not the best winter, then the winter I enjoy the most.
